What we do in this class:
Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSkate is all about!
STAR 1 (by coach invitation only) – offers skaters a unique experience by introducing concepts of individualized and focused practice time. Skaters will ease through the transition from group lessons to private/semi-private instruction. The specific focus for this session is on the STAR 1+ elements and skills.
This is a 1 hour program, offering 45 minutes of group instruction and 15 minutes of independent practice time. Skaters are encouraged to skate multiple days and hire a coach for private/semi-private instruction. Classes are Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays. Evaluation of the STAR 1 content is only available during private/semi-private instruction.
NEW for 2024! Saturday STAR 1 programming will include 1 hour of on-ice group instruction AND 45 minutes of off-ice training.
Available during Fall/Winter & Spring skating seasons.
Volunteer Bond – Mandatory for skaters at this level. Requirement is per family and for home club skaters only.

STAR 2+ (by invitation only) – offers skaters of all ages the opportunity to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate, synchronized skating and artistic skating.
Our Monday – Friday program offers skaters 20 minutes of group instruction time, along with ample time for mandatory private/semi-private instruction.
NEW for 2024! Saturday STAR 2+ programming will include 45 mins of off-ice training and 1 hour of on-ice group instruction.
Available during all skating seasons.
